HOW TO CLEAN THE MICROWAVE
Frequency:
- Quick clean - weekly
- Deep clean - monthly or seasonly
- Heat a jug or bowl of water containing 1 cup (250 ml) or water and 2 tablespoons of white vinegar on high for 3 to 5 minutes until steamy. You can replace vinegar with one lemon cut into wedges.
- Let sit for 5 minutes to allow the steam to loosen grime and food residue.
- Open the microwave - caution, it's hot and steamy! Carefully remove the hot jug (tip: wear oven mitts) and pour the hot vinegar solution down the sink, which will freshen the drains at the same time.
- Carefully remove the hot turn plate and wash in the sink with soapy water and let dry.
- Wipe the inside of the microwave with a damp sponge or cloth, then wipe the outside, front of the door and keypad.
- Finish by wiping over with a dry, clean cloth.
Deep clean:
- Unplug the microwave and move to another spot.
- Wipe the electrical cord with a dry cloth to remove dust.
- Wipe the shelf with a damp cloth to remove food crumbs and dirt, finish with a dry cloth.
- For a deep microwave clean, use a mini brush (a toothbrush is handy for this) to remove crumbs and food bits in the crevices of the microwave.
- Clean the interior and exterior of the microwave using the above steps for a quick clean.
- Return the microwave to the shelf and you're all done!

Deep clean:
- Unplug the air fryer and move to another spot.
- Wipe the electrical cord with a dry cloth to remove dust.
